Protect Freshwater
Lake Ol Bolosat is a source of livelihood to over 3 million Kenyans downstream. It is in jeopardy due to climate change. Higher temperatures, increased drought and lower humidity associated with climate change is making problems worse. In fact, recent warnings indicate that if another 10 million Kenyans is in jeopardy. By mid-2025, the world could experience one of the driest years in damaging climate changes than we are experiencing now.
Project Goals
- Protect and conserve the Lake Ol Bolosat ecosystem
- Implement sustainable water management practices
- Educate local communities on the importance of freshwater conservation
- Monitor and mitigate the effects of climate change on the water source
